Interested in joining us and helping support your community?
We need both Operational (Search Ready) and Non-Operational volunteers.
Operational members train regularly to become fully search ready and maintain their skills. They are comfortable in the bush and capable of putting in long hours navigating through difficult terrain in any weather. The ideal candidate is a committed and professional team player who will take responsibility for themselves and their teammates. In order to become operational a member needs to:
Complete the 4 day BSAR course
Obtain a Criminal Reference Check from the O.P.P.
Demonstrate competence with the required skills and search techniques
Carry basic 1st Aid / CPR certification
Non-Operational Members support the team by helping with information booths and other community events. There are also many vital administrative tasks within the team that non-operational members can take on. Requirements for Non-Operational Members:
Audit the 4 day BSAR (for awareness)
Obtain a Criminal Reference Check from the O.P.P.
Encouraged - Carry basic 1st Aid / CPR certification
