GROUND SAR

Ground Search And Rescue operations assist persons lost, missing, or in distress on land and inland waters. 

Volunteer GSAR in Ontario is governed by the Ontario Search and Rescue Volunteer Association of Ontario (OSARVA), and all volunteer SAR teams in the province train their members to the CSA Z1620-15 (GSAR) standard. This ensures interoperability with police forces, that all train to this same standard.
